A Commercial Property Inspection Company Focused Solely on Commercial Clients
Leadership and Experience in Commercial Building Inspections
Most commercial inspection companies didn’t start with commercial buildings. Many started with houses and added commercial inspections as a side service. We did the opposite. Commercial buildings are all we do. But the story of how we got here starts in the residential world.
From Residential Success to Commercial Expertise
In 2016, we founded Forever Home Inspection in Tulsa, Oklahoma. What started as a small company quickly grew into one of the region’s most respected home inspection teams. At one point, we had eight inspectors on our bench performing inspections across the region.
It was exciting. It was demanding. And it taught us a lot about building systems, client service, and running a company that people trust.
During those years, we began receiving inquiries from investors, brokers, and business owners asking a simple question: “Do you inspect commercial buildings?” At the time, most companies in our space treated commercial inspections as an add-on service. Something occasional. Something secondary.
But we quickly realized something important. Commercial inspections required a completely different level of expertise, methodology, and reporting. If we were going to do it, we were going to do it right. So we invested heavily in training, standards, and processes. We aligned our work with CCPIA and ASTM inspection standards and committed to becoming true specialists in commercial building inspections.
Eventually, the commercial side of the business grew into its own company: Focus Building Inspections.
In 2025, we sold Forever Home Inspection so we could dedicate our full attention to the commercial inspection world.
Today, commercial properties are not something we “also do.” They are all we do.
More Than Inspectors — Building Consultants
Most of our clients aren’t simply buying a building. They’re making a business decision. A building that looks fine on the surface can still carry hidden risks that affect operations, maintenance costs, and long-term profitability. That’s why we approach every project as building consultants, not just inspectors.
Our clients rely on us to answer bigger questions:
Will this building create operational headaches?
What major systems may need replacement?
What will ownership really cost over time?
Are there hidden risks that could affect the business?
To help answer those questions, we provide Opinion of Cost reports that help clients understand the financial implications of the conditions we discover. The goal isn’t just to document defects. The goal is to help clients understand risk and make confident decisions.
A Process Built on Experience
After thousands of inspections and years of refining our systems, our processes are dialed in to near perfection. From the first conversation with a client to the final report delivery, every step is intentional. Our inspection methodology, reporting systems, communication process, and client experience have all been refined over years of real-world projects.
Clients return to us again and again because they know what to expect: thorough inspections, clear communication, and reports that actually help them make decisions. Consistency matters when millions of dollars are on the line.
Every Building Tells a Story
One of the reasons we love this work is simple: No two buildings are the same.
Every property has its own history, its own construction methods, and its own set of challenges. We enjoy digging into those details with our clients—understanding their goals, their concerns, and the way they plan to use the property. Sometimes that means tailoring the inspection scope. Sometimes it means digging deeper into specific systems.
Our goal is always the same: Provide the information our clients need in a way that fits their budget and supports their decision-making process.
Leadership in the Inspection Industry
Our lead inspector has performed thousands of commercial inspections and has become a recognized voice in the industry.
He has authored and taught curriculum for the Certified Commercial Property Inspectors Association (CCPIA) and has appeared as a guest on multiple industry podcasts discussing commercial building inspections and best practices.
Both Lance and Brit also serve as business coaches with Inspector Empire Builder, the leading coaching and training organization for inspectors in the United States.
We believe strongly in helping advance the profession and sharing knowledge with others in the industry.
The Partnership Behind the Company
Focus Building Inspections exists because of a powerful partnership. While Lance focused on developing services, inspection methodology, and industry leadership, Brit had the original vision to separate the residential and commercial brands from the start. It turned out to be a brilliant move. Brit built the operational foundation of the company—developing systems, marketing, brand strategy, and internal processes that allow the business to operate at a high level.
Together, they form a partnership that balances technical expertise with business strategy, allowing the company to grow while maintaining a clear mission and strong reputation.
Rooted in Oklahoma
Our roots are in Oklahoma, and that’s where this journey began.
Today we serve clients across Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri, inspecting everything from small commercial buildings to national retail stores and large government properties.
But at the end of the day, this business is what we do, not who we are.
Integrity matters to us. Our reputation matters. And we’re committed to building a company that our clients trust and our industry looks to for guidance and inspiration.
We love what we do. And we’re grateful for every opportunity to help clients better understand the buildings that support their businesses.
Experienced. Professional. Consistently Excellent.
